Not through normal play. Traits are set at character creation, which is why it is worth matching them to the career you plan to chase.

Which trait is best for making money?

Hustler. It boosts the Hustle skill ×1.5, adds 20% work performance and helps every phone hustle and trading gig.

Do big dreams give rewards?

They are long-term goals tracked on your Goals tab. They do not lock you into a playstyle; pick the one that matches how you want to play.

Traits and big dreams

You pick two traits and one big dream when you create your Sim. Traits are permanent, so pick with your first career in mind.

Traits do three things: multiply how fast a skill grows, change how fast a need drains, and add extra Fun to certain activities (a Foodie enjoys eating more, an Owambe Spirit enjoys parties more). Two of them also touch work: Hustler adds 20% work performance and Lazy Bone takes 15% away.

The strongest money pairs are Hustler + Smooth Talker (trading, banking, socials), Tech Bro + Smooth Talker (the CcHub pitch route) and Gym Rat + Hustler (Medicine, then businesses). Clean Pikin and Night Crawler are comfort picks that make needs easier to manage.
