How to Level Up Skills Fast in Lagos Life (All 9 Skills)

Skills in Lagos Life go from 0 to 10. They gate jobs (Medicine needs Fitness 3), gate gigs (Paid Beach Photoshoot needs Photography 4) and decide how much most gigs pay. There are nine of them: Cooking, Charisma, Fitness, Coding, Music, Hustle, Dance, Comedy and Photography.

Every activity that trains a skill has a rate. A rate of ×2.0 levels you twice as fast as ×1.0 for the same time. The tables below list the best trainers for each skill straight from the game data, so you can stop guessing.

What multiplies your XP

• Traits: Tech Bro (Coding ×1.6), Gym Rat (Fitness ×1.6), Foodie (Cooking ×1.6), Musical (Music ×1.6), Smooth Talker (Charisma ×1.5), Hustler (Hustle ×1.5).
• LAPO Baby: every skill 25% faster for the whole game.
• Fast Learner perk: +20% to all skills, bought with blessings.

Stacked, a LAPO Tech Bro with Fast Learner trains coding at about 2.4× the base rate.

Skills fade

If you ignore a skill for a week it starts slipping a little each day. It never falls below level 2, but losing a level you needed for your job hurts. Keep one or two skills active rather than spreading across all nine.

Coding

Coding leads to Freelance Gigs, Product Management, the Tech career and the CcHub startup pitch. If you only train one skill, train this one. More in the CcHub guide.

Charisma

Charisma is the key skill for Banking, Law, Real Estate, Product Management, Teaching, Retail and Content Creation, and it powers social success with other players. The mirror at home (₦1,700) plus Practice Speech is the cheapest serious trainer.

Fitness

Session with a Coach at i-Fitness in Ikoyi is the fastest trainer in the entire game at ×3.0 for ₦1,000. Three or four sessions and you qualify for Medicine (₦21,000 a shift) and Aviation (₦19,000). Workouts drain Energy and Hygiene hard, so shower at the gym afterwards.

Hustle

Hustle feeds Trading, Hairstyling, Event Planning, Civil Service, the Instagram shop and the WhatsApp hustle. Buy & Resell at Balogun both trains it at ×1.5 and pays, which makes it the most efficient hour in the early game.

Cooking

Learn Mama's Ewedu Secret at Amala Shitta trains at ×1.8 for ₦200. Cooking at home also feeds you, so the Chef career is cheap to grind.

Music

Music unlocks Open Mic at the Shrine (Music 2), Write a Banger on a guitar (Music 3) and the Piano Recital (Music 5) that pays up to ₦67,500 at Music 10. The Music career has the highest top pay in the game.

Dance, Comedy and Photography

These three unlock the best-paid venue gigs: the Quilox Dance Battle (Dance 3), Comedy Night at Freedom Park (Comedy 3) and Paid Beach Photoshoot at Elegushi (Photography 4, up to ₦21,250).

Which skill first?

1. Coding if you want the fastest money (pitches, freelance).
2. Fitness if you want the best salary early (Medicine).
3. Photography if you like being out at the beach and want high gig pay without a job.

Pick one, push it past the next gate, then add a second.
